Written in plain language, because a confidentiality-first desk that hides its privacy policy behind legal boilerplate would be making the wrong point.
Who this is
UAE Dealroom is the buyer-facing channel of Coello Advisory, a UAE small and mid-size business mergers and acquisitions practice based in Dubai. This policy covers this website and the enquiries that come through it.
What is collected on the website
This site has no contact form, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no comment section. Nothing is typed into this site and stored.
What is collected is standard website analytics through Google Analytics 4:
- Pages viewed, time on page, and the order pages were visited in
- Approximate location, usually at city or country level, derived from your IP address by Google
- Device type, browser and operating system
- How you arrived: a search engine, a link on another site, or direct
This is measured with cookies set by Google Analytics, usually named _ga and similar. It is used to understand which pages are useful, nothing more. There is no advertising pixel on this site, no Meta pixel, no remarketing tag and no third-party ad network.
What is collected when you make contact
If you message the desk on WhatsApp or call the number on this site, the following is kept, because a buyer verification process cannot run without it:
- Your name and the phone number you contacted from
- Your buying thesis: sector, size range, capital range and source, prior acquisitions, timeline
- Where you are in the gate sequence, and notes on the conversation
- At the NDA stage, your signed non-disclosure agreement and a passport or Emirates ID copy
- At the proof of funds stage, the bank letter, statement or mandate letter you provide
Identification and funding documents are requested only when you reach that gate, and only to verify that you are who you say you are and can complete a transaction. They are not passed to sellers.
What is never done with it
- Your information is not sold, rented or traded. Not to lead brokers, not to setup agents, not to anyone.
- Your identity, your thesis and your funding position are not disclosed to other buyers.
- Sellers are told that a buyer is verified. They are not given your documents.
- No marketing lists are built from enquiries without your agreement, and there is no automated marketing on this site.
Who else is involved
Three third parties touch data connected to this site:
- Google, for Google Analytics measurement and for the web fonts used on these pages
- WhatsApp, owned by Meta, if you choose to message the desk that way, under its own terms and privacy policy
- Hostinger, the hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs
Where a transaction progresses, information may also be shared with your own or the seller's legal, accounting or licensing advisers, and with the relevant authorities, where that is necessary to complete a transaction or required by law.
Cookies, and how to refuse them
The only cookies this site sets are the Google Analytics measurement cookies described above. There are no advertising or tracking cookies beyond that.
You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking them has no effect on how this site works or on anything the desk does with your enquiry.
How long things are kept
Analytics data is retained on Google's standard retention setting. Enquiry records and verification documents are kept while a buyer relationship is active, and afterwards for the period needed to satisfy record-keeping, non-circumvention and anti-money-laundering obligations that apply to advisory work in the UAE. If you ask for your records to be deleted, that is done except where a legal obligation requires them to be kept.
Your choices
- Ask what is held about you, and receive a copy
- Ask for corrections
- Ask for deletion, subject to the record-keeping point above
- Ask to be taken off the buyer list at any time, with no explanation needed
Any of these can be requested on WhatsApp or by email, and they are actioned without argument.
Children
This site is aimed at people acquiring businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and no information is knowingly collected from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no version history worth reading yet.
