You are on the buyer side
Selling instead of buying.
UAE Dealroom is the buyer-facing side of the desk. If you own a UAE business and are thinking about an exit, the sell-side process lives on a separate site, with separate terms, for a good reason: a seller and a buyer should never be reading the same page.
Where to go
Two sites, one desk.
The same adviser runs both sides. The separation is about confidentiality and about not selling to you from a page written for the other party.
Sell side
uaeexits.com
Valuation on seller discretionary earnings, the exclusive mandate and what it protects, confidentiality terms, how a UAE SME sale is actually run from mandate to completion, and what a realistic price looks like against what owners usually expect.
Go there if
- You own a UAE business and are considering an exit
- You want to know what it is actually worth before deciding
- You need the process to stay quiet from staff and competitors
- You have a succession, relocation or health trigger
- You have partners who need to be brought along
The adviser
josephcoello.com
Joseph Coello is the sell-side adviser behind both sites. Dubai based, and a former owner who sold his own company before advising anyone else on doing it. That is the whole biography that matters here.
Go there if
- You want to know who you would be working with
- You were referred and want to check the background first
- You are an accountant, lawyer or PRO with a client to place
Straight answers
Three things owners ask first
I want to sell my business in Dubai. Where do I start?
Start at uaeexits.com, which covers valuation, the exclusive mandate, confidentiality terms and how a UAE SME sale is run end to end. This site is the buyer side and does not run seller enquiries.
Will my staff or customers find out?
Not from this desk. Nothing is listed on a portal. A mandate is anonymized to sector, emirate and banded figures, and released one to one to buyers who have signed a non-disclosure agreement with non-circumvention terms and evidenced their funds. That is the whole reason the buyer side works the way it does.
What size of business do you take on?
Owner-operated UAE businesses with an enterprise value between AED 2 million and AED 10 million, valued on seller discretionary earnings. All shareholders need to be willing to sign the mandate, and the memorandum of association is checked for pre-emption, drag and tag rights before any work starts.
